VISITING BLUENOSE II Bluenose II A couple of years ago Taylor Allen, the owner of Rockport Marine, one of Maine’s signature boatbuilding yards, was asked to advise on the total reconstruction of the Nova Scotia Grand Banks schooner, Bluenose II. When he invited Maynard and me to join him on one of his monthly visits to the shipyard in Lunenburg, we jumped at the chance.
