Off Center Harbor's Remarks
Herreshoff 12-1/2s are about everybody’s favorite small family daysailer. This particular one has had a lot of work done on her in recent years; her price is right; and her owner says he is a “motivated” seller.

This Herreshoff 12-1/2 lacks a hull number, but is believed to be #1482, built for Lincoln Davis of Marblehead, MA, by Herreshoff Manufacturing Company in 1939.
I have owned boat since 2014 and moored it outside my home in Castine, ME. It has been stored in my garage for 2 years. Up until last summer I sailed it regularly. Since then I’ve been physically limited and must curtail my activities. The asking price is flexible. Let’s just say owner is highly motivated.
2009-2010 extensive renovation by Woodman Boats, Arundel, ME:
New deck, coaming, seats, floor timbers, every other plank, new transom. oak frames, and mahogany planks.
2015 work done Northeast Boat, Northport, ME:
Repair keel, new stem. new sternpost, replaced screws in planking with stainless steel, new boom, routed out epoxy from planking seams glued in new splines.
Formerly named WATERMELON & CURLEW.
New main and jib (Bohndell).
Trailer included.
2014 survey said good condition.
Illness forces sale. Boat stored under cover in Castine, ME.
