Off Center Harbor's Remarks

This handsome boat looks like she’s going full throttle even when she’s standing still. That’s the secret of bass boats built for the sharp afternoon chop of Buzzards Bay by good builders like Brownell and Mckenzie. You’ve got to get out there through whatever the Bay has to offer before the fish start biting. It seems to us that this boat’s value lies in her extensive renovation. Brownell was a highly regarded builder and now she appears to have been put right all over again.

NOTE: Owner has just installed a new engine – a 325hp Chris-Craft 327Q power plant with all-new accessories & ancillary components.

Winter 2018-2019 Refit:

Replaced all scratched Lexan in side windshields and all cracked glass in cabin house. All surfaces were epoxied, re-bedded and gasketed as per original. Cabin house & hull have been professionally refinished by Hylan & Brown, Inc., including the varnished transom. Engine was removed and Hylan & Brown fabricated and installed new custom pans below the engine and made minor structural improvements to the frames in the engine compartment. Engine has received a top end rebuild by C & C Machine in Ellsworth; new exhaust manifold and risers have been installed; Edelbrock carburetor upgrade modifications; heat exchanger cleaned, pressure tested, repainted and regasketed. Starter has been overhauled and all transmission & oil lines have been replaced with custom fitted high pressure hoses. All fluids have been changed and all components have been inspected. Every effort has been made to basically cover all the bases before reinstalling back into the boat sometime in April after the ice & snow disappears.
