Off Center Harbor's Remarks

A sweet wooden daysailer with a reliable engine to get you back home to dinner when the wind dies is a beautiful thing. Especially a boat that has been restored as totally as this listing claims. Rhodes certainly knew a thing or two about designing great boats, and here is one you can take a nap aboard while you're waiting for the after lunch breeze. Finally the boat features a dual axle trailer that will allow you to put her under cover at home and do the annual maintenance yourself.

Description from Boat's Main Listing

(Was $19,500) DOUCE AMIE is a wonderful wooden daysailer which received an extensive restoration during the winter of 1999/2000. The boat was originally built in 1947 at the Brigham Shipyard in Greenport Long Island. Most of Douce Amie’s life was spent sailing the shores of Connecticut and New York, only recently did the boat find it’s way to Maine. Recently surveyed (10/20/18) she has been determined to be in excellent shape. This vessel has been donated to Maine Island Trail Association and the sale will greatly help this organization.
