A quintessential heavy-displacement cruising boat, the Tayana 37 is designed for one purpose: to go places in relative comfort. Its cutter rig, Baltic stern, thick rubrails, bronze hawsehole, grooved hull, and bowsprit reflect its cruising aspirations. The Tayana has been described as safe and secure with high coamings. high lifelines, and substantial bow and stern pulpits. MARIAH’s single forward cabin gives her a wide-open feel in the galley and salon. She has a U-shaped settee to port which, with a nice table, converts into a double berth. The starboard settee folds out for a large single berth or a double for kids. The galley is aft to port and there is a storage area aft to starboard. The head is forward to port and the forward berth is a port-side double with hanging space and drawers to starboard. She has a 30-HP Yanmar diesel for auxiliary power.
