Description from Boat's Main Listing

La Ripousse is a Rhodes 29 by Philip. H. Rhodes, model design 632, built at the naval shipyard Laliberte & Freres, in Quebec, Canada, in 1964.

Her third and current owners purchased La Ripousse in 1971. They cruised the boat extensively every summer along the St. Lawrence River, Gulf of St. Lawrence, Nova Scotia, along the east coast from Maine to the Chesapeake Bay, the Great Lakes, Lake Champlain, the Hudson River, and the Long Island Sound. La Ripousse also won numerous races on the St. Lawrence River and Gulf of St. Lawrence.

She has been beautiful maintained by her current owners. The varnish was redone yearly. The mahogany hull was professionally renovated during the winter 1996-1997. The hull was repainted in 2020 by Boulet et Lemelin. The two masts were stripped down to the wood and re-varnished with eight layers of varnish in 2021. All the rigging and sail are in good condition.
