Built in 1927 by Andy Berg, in Ballard, Washington, “Nez Perce III” is a classic pilothouse motor yacht owned by two generations of the same family.

Her heavy work-boat construction and low maintenance aluminum pilothouse represent a solid foundation for her next owner to build upon.

Accommodations/Layout:

Spacious pilothouse with bench, port and starboard Dutch doors
Aft to port of the pilothouse is the galley with double sink and three burner stove with oven
To starboard of the galley is an alcove with a refrigerator/freezer and storage lockers
Aft of the galley is the main salon with a large dinette with built-in wrap-around seating, good light and visibility and an Antarctic diesel heater.
On the lower deck forward, accessed via the pilothouse, is a 3-bunk stateroom with a separate head and sink in the fore peak.
Aft of this stateroom is the large engine room with excellent access to the fuel tanks, drive line, hot water heater, batteries and Detroit Diesel power plant.
The aft stateroom is accessed via stairs from the main salon and comprises a queen berth to starboard and a built-in desk and separate head with portable head and sink.

On Deck:

The spacious foredeck features a Lofrans electric anchor windlass with 400′ of HT chain and a 100# Nav Patt anchor;
Immediately aft against the front of the pilothouse, is a bench seat with storage below;
Bulwarks on the foredeck are custom fabricated aluminum;
Side decks are covered by the aluminum pilothouse roof overhang;
The aft deck has a canvas cover with a built-in seat and table and an outside shower;
A ladder leads from the aft deck to the cabin top on which is located the 12′ tender which comes complete with a cover, oars, spars, sails.
The aluminum mast and boom, installed new in 2008, can be used to lower the tender over the side.
Paravane booms can be deployed port and starboard to enhance stability in beam seas.
