Brion Rieff Brion Rieff has had a passion for sailing and building boats since he was a youngster growing up on Long Island Sound. He has worked in many boatyards, including institutions such as Derecktor and Minneford Shipyard, where he learned all aspects of boatbuilding. In the mid-1990’s, after leaving Brooklin Boat Yard, he started is own shop, which is also located in Brooklin, Maine. Brion is comfortable and proficient in all areas of boatbuilding, whether traditional or cold-molded construction. He has restored classics and has designed his own custom yachts, working closely with clients to give birth to their dreams. Brion excels at taking the feel and look of a traditional boat and bringing it to a more modern level, all the while incorporating the knowledge he has acquired through his wide-ranging experience.
