    Geoff ;
    You have shown & used the measuring tool in part 3 video below the rabbet plane.
    It is flat & ~ 3″ x 12″ and on the side “not shown” has angle increments;
    My question is what is it called and can it be purchased somehow ?
    Great total series on the Caledonia !

    Well I started my apprenticeship as a shipwright in 1954, but after watching this video I shall buy a heat gun tomorrow. You’re never too old to learn!

    Geoff-

    Thank you for this series; I’m actually feeling pretty informed as a I start my build. In this series you use various clamps of different sizes. Could you say a little about the sizes and the quantity of each you might consider the minimum? Especially, how many of those smaller $12 clamps did you use to laminate the stem? Those seem most prevalent throughout the build.

    Thanks!

    Geoff is a great host for this series. Not only his knowledge but his voice and presentation. Clear and enjoyable. Thanks for the walk-through!!

    I second the need for the heat gun and scraper. It wasn’t mentioned until the last day in the class I built my boat. Would have made life a hundred times better and saved $$$$$ in sandpaper, too.
