    There is a great deal of medicinal purpose in using a plane. It just feels right.

    As it turns out, I have one of those tongue-and-groove planes. It was in a box that I acquired after my grandfather died, but there is no telling where he got it. I must take a look at it again, and see if I can get something happening in the scraps that I have in my garage.

    Make sure you buy the right Lee Nielsen T&G plane! They are make for two different sizes of stock.

    Have found that a COMPASS PLANE is the perfect tool for cutting uniform concave curves, e.g., the inner face of a stem.
