Preview: Tom Cunliffe Visits the Axe Yacht Club in South Devon

I just love this video. Off Center Guide Tom Cunliffe visits the Axe Yacht Club in South Devon and gives the lay of the land (and the sea). Plus, I’ve added the new term “pluck-up the courage” to my limited Texas-roots vocabulary.

Wonderfully entertaining and delightful look at a cool anchorage. An idyllic place to enjoy the wildlife and follow the escapades of our avian friends flying in the background. When all of a sudden two more birds are spotted front and centre at 2:08. Blimey, this place is a bird-watcher’s paradise! Good stuff that!

Good catch, David. First bird of that species seen on OffCenterHarbor.com. Beautiful. Even for birdwatchers, to see two simultaneously must be rare. Tom, good on ya, mate.

Spent a summer on the River Dart in my youth on Temptress an Edward Allcard Gaff Yawl.
It is one of my most favorite places in the world.
A place that for me in the early seventies where I came of age and knew that I would
    be ok in this world.

What a right and proper description of a unique Yacht Club.
