Preview: Paddle to Seattle

If you ever thought kayaking was just for a short outing, check out this great adventure of long-distance paddling.

Josh Thomas and J.J. Kelly, two friends who met in 2003 while hiking the Appalachian Trail, built two Pygmy kayaks and then set off to paddle the 1,300-mile Inside Passage, which would take them from Alaska to Seattle. This water passage borders on North AmericaÙs largest temperate rainforest with bears guarding shorelines, plenty of rain to last weeks on end, and abundant encounters with different – sometimes dangerous – sea life. But with humor and wit, they share an incredible adventure in “Paddle to Seattle”.

      Hi Raymond,

Thanks for your question. When you click on the “rent” button, it takes you to Vimeo where the filmmakers have hosted the film. That is where you can either rent/buy the documentary and it looks like they have made it for streaming only. But if you wanted a DVD, you can always check out the filmmakers official site to see if they offer it.
