We carry a Dyer “Niner” in davits on our Island Packet 350. We often sail to the dinghy dock, leaving the Honda 2 on the rail, sometimes all summer. She also rows beautifully, and can be rowed with the sail rig in place, which is a plus. Maintenance of a small boat is, well, a small job. The regular compliments we receive add to the joy of ownership.

I had a Dyer Dhow with the rainbow sail similar to the one pictured for close to twenty years. Nice simple stable dinghy designed to both look good and stand up to long term ownership. It does require annual upkeep of the brightwork, which I enjoyed doing. It rowed and sailed well but was not great at either, which is what you would expect based on size and beam.
