This series by Maynard and the complimenting video under sail of WIZARD has to be one of the very best put together by Off Center Harbor. I have enjoyed it immensely. Kudos to all the story tellers and boat restorers. An amazing story too about the circumnavigation. What a boat!

What a lovely job! With respect to the traveler, can you tell me the specifics of the hardware you have chosen such a the track size and purchase ratio? Thinking about my Concordia and an alteration. The main is about the same square footage. Many thanks and Merry Christmas.

So glad to see a new chapter in the life of this wonderful boat. Thanks for the visual documentation of this incredible restoration.

I could not see in any of the photos that the outside ballast keel strapping was reinstalled. This was an important part of the structural integrity of boats built by the Herreshoff Manufacturing Co.

No wayne we have not put the keel straps on as yet. We’ve sailed her pretty hard at times, and as of yesterday when I hauled her to change the prop all looks well. Perhaps this winter I’ll get to putting the straps on. Best, Brion

Correct me if I’m wrong, but isn’t that “boat in the background that’s not WIZARD” OCTAVIA (8USA37, ex KC-30)?

      Brion Rieff says:

Yes Don, that is Octavia in the background. As Maynard has mentioned it is not Wizard. The picture is really defined by the 2 smilin guys and some spruce which is a 63ft mast we built. Best,
      Brion
