Lead Carpenter and Project Manager, Brooklin Boat Yard

Brian Larkin Brian Larkin has been involved with boats his entire life. Born in Brooklin, Maine into a family of boat builders and yacht captains, Brian was surrounded by stories of boats, large and small, from an early age. This background, combined with his fascination for the water, made boatbuilding a natural profession, and this became a reality for him when he began working at the Brooklin Boat Yard in 1987.

Over the years, he has had the opportunity to work on numerous projects of both restoration and new construction. Restoration projects include a 1913 P Class, OLYMPIAN; an 85′ Trumpy, ENTICER; a 74′ Purdy motor yacht, APHRODITE; and most recently a 1926 Herrishoff S Class, MISCHIEF. Boats of new construction include a 43′ sloop designed by Joel White, SWEET OLIVE; a 74′ W Class, WILD HORSES, a 54′ Sparkman & Stephens sloop, ANNA; a 90′ Bob Stephens yawl, BEQUIA; and a 68′ Stephens, Waring and White design, ISOBEL, to name a few. Brian has been the Project Manager on many of these projects.
