    I don’t like the idea of making a hole in the air intake cover to save time… better not to cut corners, this is sealed for a reason.

    Very comprehensive. One demurrer though: I was advised by the manufacturer of my former 30 HP four stroke carbureted engine not to fog it. The manual made no mention of fogging. The tech suggested that, because the ports of such an engine are so tiny, it is very easy to clog them with fogging. That engine is history, mostly because of ethanol issues. My new version is FI. I assume that FI engines should not be fogged. Is that correct?

    I wished I had this video a long time ago, (like the 1980s and 90s). Im also thinking that both me and my Dad took poor care of our Yamaha 4 stroke 8hp outboard. Maybe a testament to the rigor of its build that it didn’t seize up.
