I learned yesterday in the local press here in Richmond that the crab industry has been seriously threatened by Trump’s restrictive immigration policy. Apparently, the pickers needed to process blueclaws into lump meat are not available from the local area. So, immigrants normally used can’t get into the country. What a mess!

Very glad conservation and sustainability of the resource are important to the crab fishermen. To me it’s a no-brainer to preserve the resource and not kill the goose that lays the golden eggs.

Great video. I like the sweet water of the Great Lakes but sure was home sick for the East Coast while watching this video. I learned to Blue Crab hunting on Long Island Sound. There aren’t any blue crabs to catch out here. Great job.
