Awesome. The ultimate hand made wave tool.
Robert Harrison says:
My four kids got me a Grain kit for my 70th birthday – The Steamer, an 8-foot long board. My oldest has a cabinet making shop, and I think he was the ringleader. We’ve been working on it off & on for about 18 months, with him doing most of it, which is only fair :o. Very interesting project. I’m looking forward to the first ride.
MIKE MANTELL says:
Awesome! The sustainability of these boards is the answer to a problem I’ve had with poly boards for my 50+ years of surfing. Where can get info on their prices?
Mike LaVecchia says:
Hey Mike. You can see all our boards and kits at http://www.grainsurfboards.com. Give a ring anytime if we can help. Thanks.
And thanks OCH for sharing our stuff. We love you guys. Loyal followers!

1960, USMC, Hawaii, Oahu, Haleiwa Beach, 8″ fiberglass board … even with foam, it weighed a ton. Delighted to see the ingenuity and craftsmanship going into these beautiful boards – thanks OCH.

This was great. Love to see WOOD being used. sustainable, biodegradable, beautiful. Interesting to note they use the same clamping as boat builders for a lot too. thank you!
