    Looking at the dates of the other comments I have noticed how late or slack I have been in accessing this fantastic article.
    A great article about a great and determined adventurer.
    I am old enough to remember his circumnavigation and the stories that followed.

      It is a great story and it is well written. I read this just after reading Sir Robin’s book about his solo voyage, both great stories.
