Floated with Oars some time back from Lees Ferry to Lake mead. We we in rafts and the trip was magnificent, hearing the history and being educated about the geological changes was never boring. The stops and side trips were exciting and challenging. Based on the rapids we
studied before entering and the ferocity at that time, a dory run through the same areas would be really challenging. Hats off to the dory guides and then participants. I forgot to mention the food was great.

Heading down Canyon with OARS on 9-2 thru 16-2021, Lees Ferry to Lake Mead. 280 miles w/42 rapids. Dories the only way to go, can’t wait. Last year it was Clipper Round the World Yacht Race on board CV 22 (Seattle) Uruguay -Cape Town- Freemantle – Whitsunday’s 11k NM, totally AWESOME experience!

Made a trip thru the Grand Canyon a few years ago with four dory’s and three gear rafts. Four of the seven boat captains were women. All of them tough as nails and totally competent. Over Six days and ninety miles and dozens of rapids not one mishap. The ladies of the canyon are a marvelous bunch.
