Today I was finishing up applying the second coat of epoxy on all the piece parts – bulkheads, seats, partitions, knees, etc. I was litterly down to my last piece and damn if the epoxy didn’t flash off in the cup just as I was pouring some out on the seat panel. When I say flash off – it was like wow – smoking, getting hot to hold the cup, globs of epoxy . What a mess. I just left it, it was futile to try to clean it up off the seat panel. I will get the heat gun, scraper and sander out in the morning. You can see what it did to the cup.

Lesson learned: make smaller batches, don’t think you are going to get epoxy spread out on 15-20 pieces in one fell swoop . As a good saying goes: slow down, and then ease up.
