I have come up what I like for mounting the oarlocks so they will clear the gunnel guard. After reading Bob Donaldson’s excellent write up on how he tried several options. I did the same, but not intentionally. Bob went from small to bigger; I went from bigger to small. I am happy with my approach, I like Bob’s approach. I think I will finish them bright. The inwale and spacer blocks will be bright, so probably I will make these bright too.
