Sooo many beautiful places in Main to sail. Snow Island is another gorgeous place to anchor. A little closer to Portland.

Beautiful, feel like I’m there. Looking at the rocks I can see the large tidal movement. Not New Jersey.

Thank you Steve – brought back lovely memories of having been there aboard Rhodes Reliant yawl “Pride of Tyrone” in 1991. Sure takes the mind off the impending arrival here on Buzzards Bay of “Henri”…!

I grew up summering within sight of the basin from across Lairey’s Narrows. Still don’t feel comfortable navigating it, even in a small boat. It’s beautiful in there. Glad you enjoyed it.

The Basin there is such a special rarity, especially with those meadows of eel grass sadly no longer as common along the coasts of New England as they once were.

Slow… love this moving little bite of beautiful Maine. Peaceful with textures of the kelp waving under the water. I’d love to have that projected on my ceiling when I’m ready to go to sleep. Happy to know you were there and captured the magic for us to enjoy.
