I’ve been watching all OCH videos that I can, and been loving everyone of them as a cherished gift of learning, knowledge, love, and general “feel good”event for the soul. That said, this wonderful story lifted hair from my arms and made peace in my heart. Thank you.

Thank you so much for sharing you wonderful and heartfelt story of the beautiful Morning Star and your own love story. My late husband, who passed away at age 89, never gave up on his dream of sailing all over the world. When we first met 48 years ago, he owned an Abeking & Rasmussen 40′ sloop built specifically to spot German submarines during WWII. I fell in love with both the captain and the boat immediately and we had many fun adventures on her.

If you are in Port Townsend again this year, I definitely look forward to seeing Morning Star and meeting you both, who are truly inspiring souls. I would also love to be on your email list: cg@conniegallant.com

Thank you once again for lifting my spirit and bringing a warm smile to my heart.

I know I have said this before, but your ability to show one, long, continuous shot of boats underway is what sets Off Center Harbor apart from all other online offerings. You have an uninterrupted shot from 1:13 to 2:52 – that full minute and 39 seconds allows the viewer to really study and virtually experience how the boat moves through the water from different angles. The video is clear, smooth, and astoundingly steady. I’m no videographer, but in my mind, this – and other videos you have made in similar fashion – is truly award-winning video production.

…AND, “astoundingly steady.” Sorry for my lack of proof-reading before hitting the “Submit Comment” button.

Hey Nathan. Thanks for noticing that. I’ve been doing this for a dozen years and I came out of my chair when I saw that shot. Nate did it, and . . . wait for it . . . he was also driving the boat while filming.

Nate and Steve are fabulous as professionals and gems as individuals.
One could say they are The Rock Stars of Nauti-videography!

Nate: fun to see you as a member here! I noticed this too. I will often pause these videos, and trace the rigging lines with my eyes to see how the deck and spars are rigged, the run of the halyards and sheets. These videos really allow that kind of deep engagement, and appreciation for the attention to detail in the construction of these boats.

I sit watching your video and thinking about buying her and sailing once again. And then I realize that I am not in my fifties as my mind wants to be, but I am eighty-eight. If you are stepping back, then what makes me think I would succeed. So, I will sit with my dreams of years and voyages gone by and leave the sailing to others. Like you, I wrote about one of my sailing adventures. You can look it up using my name if you wish.

3yrs ago on Europa)…. sailed many times on the Harvey Gamage & Rachel Ebenezer in the Caribbean. If you reply, perhaps we could talk. Whether you reply or not….may you have the sun on your face and the wind at your back. Scott (Gulfport FL)

Recently reluctantly passed my Rhodes Reliant 41 Yawl, built 1965, on to a younger, excited owner. Viewing this doesn’t help with my withdrawal symptoms. What age ( I’m 77) is too great to fall in love again !!
