    The airflow figure at 1:43 is misleading. Wind parallel to the centerline would be deflected as shown only if the sail were rigid, and then it would drive the boat backwards. The wind should be drawn coming from the lower right, at about 40 degrees off the centerline.

    Superb explanations of points of sail from a Novice perspective at least.

    I’m not sure I understood what he meant by the movements of the tiller (rudder?) closer to the beam (or was it boom?)
