I can’t get enough of these, by far the best content on OCH in my opinion. I wish we could send them on tour to do every harbor on the coast!

Doug- I remember coming into Benjamin River in our cabin launch when you were sailing out for the start of an Eggemoggin Reach Regatta. The doldrums there at the narrows had you caught not going much of anywhere so I threw you a line and towed you out part way into The Reach.

Ahh yes, the Benjamin River Horse Latitude. It can be slow going if there isn’t a tide helping to you through. I can’t remember which boat I was in at the time — perhaps the Knarr? A weatherly boat with a good chunk of ballast can help a lot in getting through that piece of water. Or a motor, of course!

Off the subject. Does anyone know where in Maine the Topsail (squar forsail) Schooner ‘Carabee’ was built. Sailed as crew back in the 50’s in the Bahamas. I know she was later in the movies..
