Haven 12 1/2 wooden gaff-rigged daysailer. Designed by Joel White, creating a centerboard version of Nat Herreshoff’s famous Buzzards Bay 12 1/2.
This one is cedar strip planking over white oak frames. The exterior of the hull is glassed over. 2017 Triad trailer built for the boat. Sails and lines were damaged by a hungry squirrel. New sails will run $2000 or so from a number of sources. Hardware on the spars is a mix of proper bronze and homemade teak blocks. (see photos) Remaining proper bronze blocks will run you another $1500 or so.
Comes with a sunbrella boom tent cover and a plywood hardshell cover (to keep the squirrels out)
She needs a set of sails, a few lines, some TLC and, for the purest, a few bronze blocks and she’ll be quite the beauty. Health concerns force me to let her go to someone who will love her as much as I have.
I listed her first in Virginia but as most of the interested parties lived in the northeast I have moved her to Wickford, RI to make it easier for folks to check her out. I will answer your questions and my friend will meet with you to see the boat.
