Hi Pat, congratulations for taking such good care of a beautiful wooden boat. Could you tell us a little bit about her hull construction? I am also interested to hear about her original engines, cruising and maximum speed with them compared to her current power. Thanks, Ben

    • Pat Mace says:

Double carvel planked mahogany hull with teak foredeck. The entire hull has a thin skinned epoxy overlay from the waterline down. Original engines were likely Chris Craft but performance cannot be substantiated. See the very detailed Rybovich Book written and published by Pat Rybovich that covers the entire history including construction methods.

A pleasure to see a pristine Rybovich diagonally across the continent. Spreading the word of a classic Florida sportfish. Thanks.

  • Howard Mitchell says:

It’s a beautiful boat. I was disappointed that the camera did not enter the Vberth area below which is always of great interest.

  • Alan Stannard says:

Congratulations to the present owners and of those beforehand, my guess the ER and bilge areas are just as well kept.

    • Pat Mace says:

Alan, its interesting you would bring up the bilge. I showed the boat in the Vancouver Classic Boat Festival in 2022 and the judges were all very complimentary of the boat but suggested that I clean and paint the bilge so I had that done in the winter of 2022 while in the water. It was dry as a bone during the work and looks beautiful. I have pics if you are interested. Thanks for the nice comments and observation of the bilge.

  • Mark Riley says:

  • Donald Goldring says:
