I have been looking for a Bridges Point 24 with windows for awhile now and wanted to ask if anyone is looking to sell or knows anyone who is selling. I have a Cape Dory Typhoon now that I love but would like a bit more room. Thanks for any leads. I can be emailed at [email protected]

  • Michael Bartz says:

Searching for a Bridges Point 24 for sale. I’m located on Lake Superior, Grand Marais, MN.

  • Richard Betterley says:

Lovely video about lovely people sailing a lovely boat built by amazingly-talented artisans.
I’ve been sailing hull #83 (“Flying Passage”), a day sailor version of the 24 and am as pleased as can be.

  • Richard Morrison says:

Question for Robin: I sail in Maine on a body of water oriented southwest to northeast resulting in mostly upwind sailing given the afternoon southwesterly. I love the BP 24, but want a self tacking club jib on my boat. Given your experience as a sailmaker, could the sail plan on the BP 24 be converted, without changing the mainsail to a club jib without throwing the rig out of balance by creating weather helm? Perhaps raising the hoist to a masthead club jib to retain proper balance? Your thoughts? Thanks.

  • David Puchkoff says:

Just bought White Wings – #30, before I saw the video, and never sailed on her. Now I can’t wait for the Summer. Thanks for the upbeat video!

  • Michael Vaughan says:

    Eximious!

    Comfortable on a boat.

A great video thanks very much.

  • Peter Strock says:

At heart NGH* got it right – about all even Joel White could do was leave perfect alone. I sailed a Rumery Alerion. very fast, very powerful. Lot’s of fun

  • Graham Hall says:

Beautiful boat, in a beautiful place.
May be I will be able to visit one day – long way from Tasmania though!
Too little time – perhaps because I started slow, and have been easing-up ever since.

  • Joan Maxwell says:

I was blessed to take two boating courses from Robin, and it is easy to see from this video why she is such a great teacher — knows what she’s doing, never bossy, always calm. Thank you again, Robin! Hugs, Joan

  • Bud Short says:

The feeling of symbiosis between man and the wind and the aesthetics of sailing fill me with as much joy as they did 80 years ago when I first started sailing. That symbiosis between two delightful sailors both with the wind and with each other in your video was as beautiful as the boat. Absolutely wonderful! Thank you.

  • Skip Jones says:

A wonderful video. Very relaxing interlude with delightful people and a beautiful boat. AND, a touching reminiscence of Joel White.

  • Dan Pierce says:

I owned hull number 45 for many years and miss sailing the Bridges Point 24 very much. This video not only reminded me of all the reasons I loved sailing the Briges Point, but also brought a joyful tear to my eye as I recalled how fortunate I am to have the memory of sailing with Joel on Ellisha before I decided to have Wade Dow build our boat.

  • Dan Brayton says:

What a nice adaptation of NG Herreshoff’s Alerion, and what a nice video! A pleasure to watch.

  • Joe Hostetler says:

Beautiful boat. I do like the idea of an in board engine. I have a cal 21 that I restored and love sailing alone.

  • Roger Smith says:

Beautiful boat with very nice owners. A great way for me to start the day watching this video, which is beautifully shot. Also clear audio. Very professional presentation.
    Thank you,

Beautiful boat, really enjoyed watching this video.

  • Rod McLaren says:

A big thumbs up for this. The “right” way to start a Sunday morning, coffee mug in hand. Hats off to Joel for a great design.

  • Bruce Lyle says:

Beautiful video to watch over coffee before heading off to work on my build. The lines on sanding and varnishing a boat that you love are so true.

  • dave lathrop says:

nice piece touching boat partnerships… we have owned many boats in partnership and our experience is the same as theirs… the key is the relationships between the partners… that comes first, then the boat…

  • John Dupee says:

As a previous owner of a Sakonnet 23 and an admirer of Joel and his designs, I really enjoyed the video.
