Email this Video to a FriendThe Fox canoe is beautiful. With its simple clean lines and functional attitude toward getting out and paddling, she was a huge hit last week at the Wooden Boat Show. To our surprise the seatback was one of the most admired pieces of her design. Its pivoting action allows for continuous comfort throughout the day and as Bill Thomas put it best – it’s the most enjoyable part of the build. In part 17 we look at installing the seatback with the pieces that come with the kit.

Hi Bill,
I am just starting to finish a wooden skiff.
I just bought the hull and brought it home
and now I want to finish it.
I built a Pygmy triple about 10 years ago.
I would like to send some pictures.
If you have videos or books on construction’
,I am interested.
I need to know what type of woods you would or wouldn’t use.
Thanks Lonnie Davis
