I sould watch this guy for hours. What is the name of the chain/brace called? gotta have it. Doing dock, or boat work, without power would make it invaluable.
Thank you.
Dustin Higdon says:
That chain drill attachment for the bit brace is really something to behold! I wish there was someone making them currently. I can’t tell you how often I’ve thought about converting/replacing all of my corded/cordless tools to hand-power just to avoid having to spend so much money (and wasteful resources) on batteries.
Charlie McLaughlin says:
I appreciate the items at hand roughly as much as I enjoy seeing the shop and the other old tools, gizmos, and Harryventions in the background.
More panning of the shops never hurts my eyes.
Thanks Harry and OCH !
Philip Myer says:
Love the chain brace and bit.
Nathan Lunstrum says:
Chain drill is awesome!
In our electrical business we use a double edged fly cutter for 6-8″ holes in ceiling tiles for commercial recessed (can) lights. We call it “The Mangler” for obvious reasons… :)
Patrick Daniels says:
yup! done a lot of damage with one of those!

Ahhh. The sound of that drill press brought back fond memories. Nothing quite like ’em. Thanks Harry.

Great video. I was a machinist for 15 years and never saw a drill press like that.
Herb Silva says:
Absolutely fantastic… grew up with lots of these old hand tools… wish I still had them!
