I would have to say I don’t really lust after boats. If I were to apply the word lust to boating it would be in relationship to lusting after the experiences that can be had on the water. Given my interests and ways of getting afloat, I can discuss three boats to which I am drawn. For a boat to paddle in calm waters, I have fallen for the FOX canoe. For an easy day sail you can’t beat the Hven or Herreshoff 12 ½ design. To go cruising in simple elegance I would ask for time on Malabar II.
