Introduction from OCH headquarters:
OffCenterHarbor climbs aboard the 32′ cutter MIMI ROSE with Anne Bryant and Colin Sarsfield as they head south on the Intracoastal Waterway. We’ll share their adventures vicariously, and hearing from Anne as she blogs from warmer ports will help those of us in snow country remember the joys of sailing as we look forward to next season’s boating. Now from Anne Bryant:

What a lovely sheerline.
Brian Crow says:
Nice! How about a little more about your vessel? Year built, beam, draft,..etc. Thanks
Anne Bryant says:
Launched in ’91, Bill Page built her. She draws 5′ and her beam is 10′. Here’s a good resource for you: http://www.pagetraditionalboats.com/mimirose.htm

I remember when she was for sale…still regrets…found a good home it seems!
Anne Bryant says:
…And we found a good home too. No regrets, Randall. Should you ever want to visit us, do let us know!
Paul Vardeman says:
Your voyage sounds great. Reminds me of a wonderful cruising story titled : “The Boy, Me and the Cat” by Henry M. Plummer. Now back in print thru The Catboat Association,Inc. Read it!
Anne Bryant says:
I’m reading it currently, Paul. HELEN KELLER! What a great book with beautiful details and tiny mishaps. So funny you bring it up. Thanks for sharing!
David Tew says:
I met up with your Colin earlier this year. I’d met Bill Page and asked him who had bought Mimi Rose, so he pointed me your way. I’ve always admired the boat and used to see Bill and his wife sailing the ICW. Thanks for the blog. You clearly appreciate the boat and will be good stewards. Stay safe, and let us know something about how you make your living aboard!
Anne Bryant says:
Hi David, I hope we see you when we get home again! Great question about the ‘making a living’ part. I’m a virtual administrative assistant, and http://www.righthandanne.com is my website- I work for clients and do some support work for them. I’m also a freelance writer, and am looking forward to someday concentrating on that more. Colin works remotely as well, he has a three-person software company. He would say when asked what he does, that he “does as little as possible.” What a fib. Thanks so much for the kind words!

We’ll be around your way someday, t. frank! We’re thinking about doing the great loop.
