The Boat:
Boomerang is a Laurent Giles designed Brittany class sloop.
The design dates from the late 30s, and 20 were built, mainly in the late 30s, 40s and 50s. The Brittany is a smaller version of the Channel class, (designed in the mid 30s), and reckoned by some to be a better boat. 33ft loa, 25′ waterline, 8’5″ beam, 5’6″ draught, displ 6.4 tons.
