From My Old Boat Shop, by Weston Farmer
This is a wonderful read that I find myself returning to time and time again. Published in 1979, this book is a collection of some 31 articles that Weston Farmer wrote for National fisherman magazine over the course of ten years. Farmer gives us his insight into designs of his own as well as insight into the work of his contemporaries such s John Hanna and William Atkin. Everything from old marine engine lore to tips on building accurate flotation models is covered in humorous detail. This is a book that, as a boat noodler, is at the top of my list.
