The Echo Bay Dory Skiff is fast under oars and very easy to build because of its one-panel sides. The narrow bottom makes it tippier than some, initially. While not outboard compatible, the design sails well. She’s a fantastic first boat to build, especially if kids are around.

    Two being built late in June at a Workshop in Maine (Biddeford); Clint’s hosting at least two of us! And, at least one of them will be at the John Gardner Workshop during WoodenBoat Show at Mystic the end of June…. where we’ll be continuing work on finishing it.
