Walt Ansel is Senior Shipwright at Mystic Seaport Museum, and from 2004 to 2008 he was lead shipwright for Mystic’s restoration of the 61-foot Eastern-Rig Dragger ROANN.

In this 2011 presentation for the Annual History Conference at the Penobscot Marine Museum, Walt provides fascinating commentary on the original construction, working history and eventual restoration of this historic vessel. Enjoy!
