Great stuff! As a hands-on preservation architect with 40+ years experience restoring American buildings, both wood and masonry (and often both), I can attest that Roger has a sound understanding of building science and the principles of historic resource conservation. Not rocket science, but requires sound, informed thinking – much like wooden boat building. For those interested in a deeper dive into the science behind this kind of work, check out https://buildingscience.com/. Looking forward to Roger’s take on boats!
