LIVELY is a gem waiting to be discovered.

She was built in 2015 by a talented and experienced wooden boatbuilder in Cundy’s Harbor, Maine. She is of composite wood construction of shoal draft and graceful sheerline from the board of noted yacht designer Joel White.

She was built as designed with transom, slotted lead keel and centerboard. A perfectly balanced design that’s produced in fiberglass and called the Sakonnet-23, this wooden sloop named LIVELY handles easily in a variety of conditions. She is often taken to be a design by Herreshoff.

The seats with a sculpted shape and the high coaming backrest make for comfortable sailing. The mast is aluminum, as is the boom.

Standing rigging is stainless steel with stainless turnbuckles. Spinlock and Harken gear compliment the sail handling. A self-locking drum winch is provided for safe raising and lowering of the weighted centerboard.

Deck cleats, chainplates and bow chocks are of bronze. Galvanized trailer with surge brakes and extending tongue is included. Also includes full, custom cockpit cover made by Harding Sails.

Everything about LIVELY is in the best of condition and new as of 2015. She is ready for the water and lovingly maintained indoors by the owner/builder. Selling to make room in the shop for the next project!
