Description from Boat's Main Listing
Designed by Carroll Lowell and built by the John’s Bay Boat Company (owned by renowned wooden boat builder Peter Kass) EQUINOX is a 35’ wooden plank-on-frame lobster yacht that perfectly blends the traditional look and feel of a classic Downeast lobster boat with the accommodations, and conveniences one would find on any of today’s modern cruising or day-trip yachts
EQUINOX’s builder, Peter Kass, has earned a reputation as the premier builder of traditionally constructed commercial fishing and recreational lobster boats on the Maine Coast. It’s a reputation that is very well deserved and the boats built at Peter’s shop are highly prized by commercial fisherman and yachtsman alike as, year after year, they provide their owners with a safe, stable, seaworthy and speedy platform from which to work or play.
