Dustin Urban

Getting his start at Blue Hill Falls, a reversing tidal rapid 10 miles from OCH headquarters, Dustin Urban found his way to a different kind of boating at a young age. Dustin has been whitewater kayaking for 18 years now, and has stood on the podium at countless freestyle kayaking competitions, winning the World Championships in ‘squirt boating’ in 2005, taking Bronze at the 2008 World Cup and winning the Mountain Games in Vail, Colorado five times now.

Despite his whitewater exploits, camp cruising trips in Penobscot Bay remain among Dustin’s fondest childhood memories. Now with 2 young kids of his own, Dustin relishes the opportunity to get his kids on the water, whether it be in a whitewater kayak, his 16′ oar rig raft, or on a classic boat in the stunning waters of coastal Maine.

Since graduating from Princeton University in 2007, Dustin has specialized in web marketing. He now enjoys immersing himself in the classic boating world as he works to enhance OCH’s marketing.
