Very impressive, very talented; and a great video – well made. Thank you!

Hi Tim. This video is in our “Flotsam” section which showcases videos that are out on the web that we believe are worth watching but are not produced by Off Center Harbor. Thanks for your compliments on our work. We definitely have different style of filmmaking. Despite the drawbacks in how this short film was shot, and that it is used for overt promotion/advertising for a couple brands, we like learning the stories of female boatbuilders who are generally not highlighted near enough worldwide.

She’s so young and has been in the trade already a dozen years! I will look forward to her presentation at the WCBS! Well done!

Brava! Now, about the satisfying boat the interview was filmed on/in… I was given a Whitehall, 12′, with just four ribs on the starboard lifted half an inch from the planks. I want to replace those four ribs on one side, an easy job for one with experience. Me, I’ve never built even a rudimentary steam box. What can I read/watch to learn the basics. This is light construction, copper rivets, where, if I understand it, the ribs follow the line of the planks? Can that be right? I need the basic book/video on Whitehall construction, or that boat that Amy is sitting in. Very inspiring story, Amy! Thanks, Doug Day, Sweet Chariot Music Festival (for boats, Swan’s Island, Maine).
