The series follows the process from the bottom up, as a new keel, keelson and cross planking are needed to support this massive structure.

The Coastal Queen Restoration Series highlights one of the Head Shipwrights Chester Kason. Chet has worked on some of the most historic wooden boats on the North East Coast, and he’s working nights and weekends on the Coronet who’s leaving IYRS to make it’s journey to Mystic Seaport to finish it’s restoration.
