COASTAL QUEEN Restoration Project – Episode 32 – The QUEEN Has Left The Building


Follow along with Peter Slack’s ongoing series about the restoration of COASTAL QUEEN, a Chesapeake Bay Buy Boat built in 1928 and modified in the late 1950s to a cruising yacht. The series follows the process from the bottom up, as a new keel, keelson and cross planking are needed to support this massive structure.

McMillen building gets prepped as Coastal Queen readies to make a big splash. The episode happens over a few days, and there’s a lot of moving parts. This is a longer episode as it reaches back into some earlier periods, and still keeps the history of the boat in the forefront.
