COASTAL QUEEN Restoration Project – Episode 9 – Schell Custom Boatworks


Follow along with Peter Slack’s ongoing series about the restoration of COASTAL QUEEN, a Chesapeake Bay Buy Boat built in 1928 and modified in the late 1950s to a cruising yacht. The series follows the process from the bottom up, as a new keel, keelson and cross planking are needed to support this massive structure.

September 12, 2022 – COASTAL QUEEN Restoration Project – Episode 9: Schell Custom Boatworks

Two Abaco dinghies, tenders for the COASTAL QUEEN are found in a barn in Freehold, New Jersey…and make their way to Schell Custom Boatworks for restoration, while a new mast and boom for the Coastal Queen is being made.
