ROBERT ANDERSON says:
Even though I am a Sydneysider, I was hoping Comanche could pull off a win for her first big outing. New design, fantastic crew and a brilliant start, but the race was mostly to windward and Wild Oats is very hard to beat. On the other hand, it is always extra special to beat the Americans, they always come well prepared, well funded and are good sports.

Charles Barclay says:
My son and I followed the Sydney Hobart and had a little bet on the outcome. (I lost, being the smart kid he is… he bet on the seven time winner taking an eight).
Commanche has a great career ahead of her.
