Great story, this man is lucky and has what most of us need, to be one with Mother Nature. Marvellous camera to capture the scenery so well. It is beautiful.

You slow yourself till you can hear a leaf drop from a tree

Listen, learn, adapt, move, and be self disciplined. Passing on what survivors have always passed on; how to live a good life. In mastery comes the mystery. Thanks so very much.

The water is the liquid wilderness and we are drawn to the water for the same reason Ray is drawn to the woods. Where can we learn about ourselves what we learn in a storm in a boat or at dawn with vapor rising from the water? The message is Ray’s, “go deeper.” We are here to go deeper.

Incredible that people like Ray are so generous with their time and knowledge. Not looking for fame or fortune, knowing what true happiness and joy really is. Only wish I had met him when I was a young man.

He is one of the best examples of someone I have ever heard of, who has their priorities right and has lived his life that way. I would love to meet him and just sit nearby and listen… not talk. I would just want to soak in what I heard and felt and then try to put part of those ways into my own life. Thank you for posting this!
