Thank you so much for featuring Kirsten and the amazing Golden Globe Race. I’ve been trying to get newspaper, radio and tv coverage in the U.S. of this epic event for months and had very little success. You don’t have to be a sailor, sports enthusiast or a feminist to relish the adventure that just took place. Being human should be a sufficient prerequisite to appreciate what has transpired. Once again, bravo to OCH for their understanding of what is important in life and putting it front and “center.”

Kirstin is an amazing, inspirational & gutsy sailor! To leap overboard & swim away from your boat in midocean doldrums is an act of heroic fearlessness. Halfway to Hawaii from San Francisco during the Singlehanded Transpac I tried & just couldn’t go over the side.
Mark Darley says:
Circling the globe in small simple boats is a remarkable achievement any way you look at it. To win this race is massive. Well done!
Doug Bullock says:
Thanks for sharing – amazing adventure – great to see she follow her dream and won.
