Every once in a while we like to throw a little music into the mix, especially if it’s a new band that has a great live concert experience with thousands of people singing along to every word.
If this band is a bit too leading edge for your tastes, think of how much your kids and/or grandkids might enjoy front row tickets to see them live in concert.
Although Mt. Joy is a relatively new band, they remind me of the early days of U2. They’re definitely “hot” and on the rise.
I figured out a trick to get my daughter and her friends on the front row for not much more than a regular ticket, so here’s that hack that you can use (prices have nearly doubled since I gave my daughter the tickets, but still seems worth it knowing how difficult it is these days to give unique, meaningful gifts and experiences):
- Go to the “Tour” page on their website and find the date/city you want tickets for
- Purchase the “VIP / General Admission / Early Access” tickets in the section in front of the stage, AND
- Be sure to get the VIP tickets with early admission for the Q&A with the band
- You and/or your clan will go early, meet the band, then get to walk right up to the front row for the concert before anyone else is allowed into the venue

A fine boat underway is a form of music to me, so the connection for me of sailboats to music is organic. How about some Pete Seeger and the Hudson sloop “Clearwater”?
Thanks, Steve!
