Remote Paddling Adventure on the Headwaters of the Hudson

I was surprised to learn that the headwaters of the Hudson encompass a remote and rugged wilderness worthy of exploration by extreme kayakers Pat Keller and Steve Fisher.

As fellow paddling pros, Pat and Steve are both longtime acquaintances of mine.

These guys have paddled their kayaks off countless waterfalls over the years and pioneered ‘first descents’ in remote lands from Iceland to Congo.

This adventure, however, takes place just upriver from one of the would’s most populous cities.

Thanks for opening my eyes to some whitewater I did not yet know about…so many rivers, so little time! As a whitewater junkie, I appreciate having Dustin’s viewpoint represented here on OCH.
